Eating- there’s an app for that! The HAPI Fork is a USB enabled smart fork that tracks your eating habits with an accompanying smartphone app. In order to encourage you to eat more slowly, the fork vibrates and has an LED alert if you’re eating too fast. It can also track how long it takes to eat each meal as well the number of forkfuls of food you eat per minute and the intervals between them. After you finish eating, you can plug in your fork via USB to your computer:
The data is uploaded into the online dashboard and you can now assess and view your data from either your computer or mobile phone (there’s an app for iOS, Android, and Windows mobile). The app lets you track your health and fitness progress beyond just eating such as sleeping and physical activities. That’s smart eating.
