
Here’s an interesting concept for hikers and travelers- a paper map that’s also a flashlight. How does it work? It’s actually two sheets of paper- one with the map and a cover sheet with electrodes on the back. Between the sheets are a thin battery and LEDs. When you roll the map up, the electrodes touch, the LEDs go on and your map is now a flashlight. Good idea, except that as Coolest-Gadgets points out- if you have to roll up the map to get it to light up, how can you see the map? Keep working on it, guys.
