You’ve never seen a musical instrument like this before! Designed by Tara Pattenden, who created this thing for Masters’ thesis at the Aalto Universities Media Lab in Helsinki, Finland. The soft mask is made of common kitchen sponges and conductive thread. Each of the feathers is wired to play a musical note via the integrated speaker. The whole thing is very bizarre, you have to check out the video to see it in action.
