The AViiQ Laptop Stand is being billed as the world’s thinnest portable laptop stand. Measuring less than 1/4″ thick, 12 3/4″ long, 2 3/4″ wide and weighing only 5.5 ounces, it just might be.
The AViiQ is made from Hylite, a lightweight composite of aluminum and polyproplene, a strong yet flexible and still rigid material. Laptops are getting thinner and thinner, it’s about time laptop stands lost a little weight too.
The stand raises your laptop to a 12 degree angle off the table which lets air flow underneath so it can run cooler as well as improved ergonomics. It folds up accordion style to a super thin sheet that can easily be tossed in your bag with your computer. It’s pretty difficult to be impressed with something as utilitarian as a laptop stand these days, but yeah we are impressed with the design. The cost, not so much, as it runs almost $80.
