By now I’m sure you’re aware of Spike Jonze’s upcoming Where the Wild Things Are movie based on Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s book. It’s out next month and I’m sure the media will be all over it and it looks great. The official blog for the movie- We Love You So, just featured São Paulo, Brazil based Vanessa Dualib‘s awesome creation of a famous scene in the book made almost entirely out of fruit. There’s mango, kiwi, a tree made of celery, a moon made of lemon, coarse salt stars, atemoya (a tropcial fruit) for the monster’s legs and anise for his hair, and a wolf suit made of mozzarella cheese. Dualib’s other food art creations are featured in her book, appropriately titled Playing With Your Food.
So in summary and just to be totally clear, this is a blog item about a food art item based on a book with a forthcoming movie created by someone with a book about food art items that was featured on a blog about the feature film based on the book. Well that cleared it up.
