The USB Sofa is an interesting concept that was created for OFFF Lisbon 2008 – International Festival for the Post Digital Creation Culture. It’s quite simply a series of sofas with cords sticking out that function as USB hubs. Ideal for collaborative working with colleagues or classmates, you can tether yourself to another computer, network or peripheral without being stuck at a desk. There are 7 cords so a septet of folks can share. Of course the couch has to have the USB logo tattooed on the backside. I could something like the USB Sofa being installed in coffeeshops near college campuses and conference rooms in corporate offices.
