This soon to be in stores GPS unit from MIO is based upon the Knight Rider TV series and features the voice of KITT (William Daniels) to help guide you to your destination. It even has the flashing KITT style lights on the side. Unfortunately it can’t do all the neat little tricks that KITT can do like drive itself, set smokescreens, and answer questions about the origins of life as we know it. It can tell you to turn right in 500 feet.
Here’s some video of the GPS device in action… as cool as it sounds conceptually, I find the device to not really live up to it’s promise. Without giving any witty suggestions and one-liners, KITT is boring (although not as boring as the Knight Rider remake on NBC recently- ZING!) Judge for yourself:
