Cassette tapes might be an outdated medium for storing music but that doesn’t mean it’s an outdated medium for making lighting fixtures out of. Or as the picture says- cassettes live! Like this snazzy cassette tapes lamp or box from ooo my design. Made by tying together analog cassette tapes with some sort of plastic tie, the tapes let off an eerie cool glow when lit from within:
While it’s not the fanciest lamp on the block, this type of adaptive reuse of outdated materials does keep objects that have outlived their usefulness out of the landfill and does in fact give them a use. The nature of the cassette with it’s design featuring holes allows light to pass through in a way that would simply not work with other more solid formats like 8-tracks. Coolio.

Just because something is “vintage” doesn’t make it attractive, and this is Exhibit A.
Looks nice although I think the ty-wraps should be replaced with something more beautifull
Cool … I love ty-wraps too – really sincere, DIY aesthetic
