Some people see 720 sheets of 110lb cardstock paper as something a bit more than just printing materials. They see them as building blocks for a 7 foot tall Gundam mecha robot statue. It took almost 4 months to build this 10 pound papercraft monster. A foamboard skeleton supports the paper.
Taras Lesko created this robot. He started with a die-cast model of the robot, photographed it and created a 3D model in his computer and then basically recreated every part in paper.
His previous project was a mere 4 foot tall Gundam, which was burned at the end. Hopefully this one will meet a kinder fate. Here’s a timelapse video of the creation process:
