The Netherlands based designers Joon and Jung have created the Natural Speaker, a unique speaker made essentially out of ceramic atop wooden sticks. This handcrafted speaker is designed to produce a more natural vibe and ambiance compared to most speakers that give a fat bass and sharp high tones. The style combines a bit of the Dutch aesthetic with their native Korean design for a clean modern unique look.
Each ceramic casing is individually checked for it’s acoustic properties. Ones that don’t make the cut are smashed to bits as you can see in the really weird video below (just odd but cool). The wooden sticks below help give a natural resonance to the slight echo of the sound in the ceramic housing, resulting in a sound that has a balanced mid-tone sound.
