EcoGadget Giveaway: Mathmos LED Wind Turbine

Congrats to the winner #30:

This week’s sweepstakes is a tribute to the wind. The wind doesn’t suck, it blows. Congrats to last week’s winner of the sweet earbuds giveaway: Charlene. Apparently there’s a lot of people who need new earbuds out there.

On to the wind. This week we’re giving away a miniature wind turbine:

This 8″ tall light-up wind turbine by Mathmos will give you a eco-friendly light source outside. A simple puff of air will send the rotor blade spinning and get the red LED lights glowing. Great for planting in your garden or yard to light-up on breezy evenings. Mount one outside your window to use as a wind indicator. It’s clean green renewable energy. Also good as a glowstick alternative.

To win, you should subscribe to our RSS Feed or our once daily email and then leave a comment below. Every week we will have different, cool, unique (and valuable) gadgets to give away and you don’t want to miss out! (if you’re already subscribed- thanks- just leave a comment)

  1. First!

It’s windy here in the Texas Panhandle. If I’m lucky enough to get picked, I’ll send you some video of this baby in action!

  2. This would be awesome for my garden! Bad enough trying to fight the bugs while growing as totally non-pesticides but the birds are pecking the heck out of my tomatoes. This will definitely put any scarecrow to shame (and keep my garden company at night šŸ™‚

  3. Just what I need……A red light outside my house! lol A neat gadget though, would love to have it. Thanks.

  4. I could really use that. Whenever my one friend gets a little long-winded, I would just hold it up in front of his face and say something about generating electricity.

  5. I subscribe to your daily email. Now that is cool, I could have my own red light district and a nice addition to my yard.

  6. maaybe i can use step-up transformers and use this to power my computer as well as the stylish red lights!!
