Weekly Gadget Giveaway: Glow Brick-ENDED

CONTEST ENDED: CONGRATS to #41 LB:

Sweepstakes time! It’s the weekly gadget giveaway an this week’s contest is very illuminating. But first, congrats to Daniel M., last week’s randomly chosen contest winner of the percussion prize package.

This week’s prize is this sweet Glow Brick:

It looks like a lightbulb trapped inside an acrylic resin brick because it is a real light bulb in there. But the bulb is filled with a glow in the dark pigment that recharges during the day. At night the bulb glows with a subtle and tranquil glowing light from inside the lamp (it looks really cool). That’s…word of the day…photoluminescence in action for you science geeks. The one we’re giving away glows green.

To win, you should subscribe to our RSS Feed or our once daily email and then leave a comment below. Every week we will have different, cool, unique (and valuable) gadgets to give away and you don’t want to miss out! (if you’re already subscribed- thanks- just leave a comment)

The rules:

  1. This sweepstakes will run now through Tuesday April 13, 2010 10pm Eastern time.
  2. One entry per person (yes we can tell if you enter more than once).
  3. We will choose one winner at random from one of the comments below.
  4. This contest is open to residents of the US only.
  5. If you’re on Twitter (all the cool kids are) why not follow CraziestGadgets Twitter and retweet this?
  6. We’re on Facebook too, are you? We just joined and have like no fans. Won’t you be our friend?
  7. Be sure to leave a valid email when you comment so we can contact you if you win.
  8. Your email won’t be visible to other visitors on the site and will ONLY be used to contact the winner.
  9. Good luck!

  2. I just love photoluminescent tabletop objects. And the turquoise color is so pretty! I really want one of these for my studio. And maybe for outside on the deck.

Am always trying to teach my granddaughters 9-14 the basics of science and how much fun it can be and this would be just the thing to show them how much fun photoluminescence is. Since cool is the second most used word in their vocabulary I think this would certainly merit that word.

  7. My teen granddaughter has a birthday coming up and I would love to gift her this cool gadget.

  8. That’s not a crazy gadget, that’s a cool, cool gadget!

But, will it fly here in California? It doesn’t look like a CFL.

I still want it, though. Pick me!! Pick me!! 🙂
