Well here’s one item that’s not on my holiday wish list: the Owl Pellets Dissection Kit. This kit is made of of a pair of dissecting forceps, a magnifier and a chart to identify all the half digested bones and parts that the owl has thrown up. Owl pellets (and bird pellets in general) are actually undigested parts of a bird’s food that some bird species occasionally regurgitate which can include the exoskeletons of insects, indigestible plant matter, bones, fur, feathers, bills, claws, and teeth. DO NOT WANT.
via Make (who has more info about putting one of these kits together yourself).
