The Air-Ray created by the people at Festo is a helium filled blimp-like balloon with a twist. The Air Ray has movable wings and a flapping tail just like the ocean bound manta ray which enables it to soar and glide in all sorts of positions through the air. The whole thing is controlled by remote control and you must check out the video after the jump below to see this thing in action- hard to believe it’s in the air:
Let’s just hope no evil scientist comes along and turns this into an air stingray! Don’t want to go down Crocodile Hunter style, no way.
