Wow! Takashi Murakami is the famed Japanese pop artist, often called a a modern day Andy Warhol. He is known for his brilliant colors, anime inspired characters, the “superflat” style, and extensive merchandising particularly with Louis Vuitton handbags. As part of Murakami’s current exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum, the museum’s shop was selling these supercool $40 Mr. Dob mousepads. But alas, they are sold out so we can only covet those who already bought one (or wait for them to hit eBay).
