Goldfish are probably one of the easiest pets to keep. All you need to do is feed them and change the water once in a while. But the problem is that everybody knows this, so the people who are the worst at keeping pets ending up getting goldfish. The result: face up floating fish get flushed frequently. That’s f’ed up. If you can’t handle the responsibility of a real goldfish, how about an Electronic Goldfish? They don’t need any food, just batteries.

Just add water (or any other liquid really- it’s not a real fish, you could probably use beer if you want) and watch the fish swim around the bowl, electronically. It even has a color changing LED light show for that cool fishbowl effect you need for your home.

It’s a combination plush toy, squeak toy and crunchy water bottle toy for dogs. Petmate Booda SqueakBottles are plush covers that go over any standard size water bottle. The Povodokus dog leash from Art Lebedev’s studio somehow manages to be the best and worst idea at the same time. It’s pretty much guaranteed to get you stopped by the police, or shot, or laughed at, or… something. It definitely attracts some sort of attention.

The handle looks just like a gun- and not an orange supersoaker- a realistic looking handgun. Combined with the leash, at a glance it really looks like you’re shooting your dog.

I said sit, dog. That’ll teach ‘em. But don’t cue up that Sarah McLaughlin song just yet, for now this is just a design concept and not for sale (yet? you never know).

I love the design of these Halve Bookends which work as either fish bowls or vases. With fish in them it sort of looks like your fish have a massive aquatic world hidden inside your tomes of knowledge (or trashy beach reading, whatever you have on your shelves). Or you could just put flowers in and use them as vase bookends.
