Sink Meets the Dumptruck

Here’s an interesting bathroom concept- the sink without a drain. The design is supposed to make you consciously think about your water usage. To drain the water out, you tilt the whole basin over on a hinge as if it were a dumptruck. Seems like a pain in the ass to have to do each time you use the sink, but if you’re the type of person who continually drops things into the sink like rings and jewelry, then this could be a huge plus for you.

Washing Machine Sink Combo Saves Space

This combination washing machine and sink appliance is called The Spacesaver and it’s truly a… wait for it… spacesaver. While it’s a pretty good idea, what will happen to all the junky cleaning products I store under my sink? And where does the dryer go? Maybe if this was a more green product where the wastewater from the sink was cleaned up and used to wash the clothes I would be more in favor of it, but as it is now- it needs some work.

A Urinal You Can Wash Your Hands In

urinal-sink A Urinal You Can Wash Your Hands In
This urinal is a combination sink and urinal. The top portion contains the sink for washing your hands after going. During and after washing, the sink water cascades down to flush the urinal part of the contraption. There’s no need for a separate flush which makes this a green device, saving water. The bathroom appliance is said to have a no-splashback feature.

Conceptually this is a good idea. In reality it’s disgusting sort of. Washing your hands IN the urinal? The way most public men’s rooms are, that top handwashing shelf will be used a pee target in no time. And where’s the soap?!
