When you’re calling your company Einstein, you have to expect a certain level of scientific intelligence in your products. Now I’m not sure if the Einstein Sound Master Photon Ball iPod Dock, E135BK Einstein Sound Master Photon Ball iPod Dock qualifies as a genius product but it certainly takes advantage of some properties of physics that would make Albert Einstein proud (or roll in his grave).

This cool iPod dock features one of those photon balls that creates lightning in a globe to the beat of your music. Turn your lights off for an insane light show in your room. It includes an AM/FM radio and LCD clock with alarm. I may be having a flashback to Spencer’s Gifts in a mall circa 1990 but I kinda like and want this one for some reason. Everything old is new again, I guess.

iconnect mac 500x361 iHome iConnect Keyboard with iPod Dock Looks Pretty iSweet
Coming sometime late this summer is the new iConnect Keyboard from iHome. Available in both Mac (silver, model IH-K231MS) and Windows PC (black model IH-K230MB), this modern looking keyboard has an integrated iPod/iPhone dock right on the side. The Mac version has integrated application launcher keys while both versions have a pair of USB ports. The keyboard itself connects via USB, natch. The built in rubberized wrist rest makes it look like a laptop without the screen. Sort of. These keyboards will run you $150 which is in my opinion, totally not worth it. On the one hand, the dock is really sweet, but really I’d expect more for that price.

daddy and me onesie 377x500 Daddy and Me Cassette Tape iPod Onesie for Babies
Things have changed since we were kids. This adorable onesie for babies from the Hello Banjo folks tells the whole story. Mix tapes are what daddy listened to. iPods are for me. The way we listen to music has completely changed in just one generation. This onesie will probably look hysterically outdated when our kids have kids. But for now, it’s spot on, witty and super cute.

I actually saw this being sold by the Hello Banjo crew at a local crafts fair here in Brooklyn a few months back (I thought you guys were going to make some monkey stuff?!) and bought it for my kid- he’s wearing it right now in fact. It’s printed on American Apparel cotton, so just like their adult tee shirts, they run slightly tight but are super soft. Sweet babywear.

ihome bongiovi1 iHome iP1 Bongiovi Studio Series Audio System
iHome has just announced their latest Runaway hit of an iPod dock system, the iP1 Studio Series audio system. You’re going to want this system Dead or Alive because of the special audio technology developed by Tony Bongiovi (cousin of Jon Bon Jovi!!!!). It looks stunning thanks to the glass front (which you need to keep dry because it’s Slippery When Wet). The system will be There For You because it features “4” honeycomb woofers and 1” silk dome tweeters, delivers stunning sound with restored harmonics, increased clarity and deep bass.”

You may not want to Lay Your Hands on this system when you hear the price: $299 but maybe you’ll Keep the Faith that they’ll lower the price soon. Until then we’re just Living on a Prayer until our current system goes out in a Blaze of Glory- hopefully not until June when the iP1 is released.

Wireless Spherical Speakers iPod Dock

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

wireless speaker ball ipod dock Wireless Spherical Speakers iPod Dock
The Wireless Speakers iPod Dock is a handsome looking accessory for your iPod. The 2 3/4″ ball shaped speakers are fully wireless and rechargeable. The speakers have a range of 120 feet which should be far enough away to allow you to place the spherical speakers anywhere in your house or yard. The internal batteries in the speakers can play for up to eight hours of music on a two hour charge.

If you don’t have an iPod, there’s a 3.5 mm audio jack to plug the unit into any external audio source like a TV, radio, or Zune. This would be great for parties, you can even separate the two speakers to get the same music playing in multiple rooms of your house. Good gift for dads and grads!!!

lagerfeld tweed helmet ipod1 Karl Lagerfeld Tweed Helmet with iPod Pocket
Someone should go check up on Karl Lagerfeld and make sure he’s feeling ok because his latest fashion design is out there, even for him. First off, it’s a helmet. Why would he even be designing a helmet? Then it’s covered in tweed. A fabric colored helmet? Huh? And the icing on the cake of lunacy is the iPod pocket. Because if there’s anyplace I want to store my iPod while I’m cruising down the road on my Vespa scooter it’s on top of my head where I can’t see it. And really if I’m riding on a vehicle that requires a helmet, do you really think I’m going to be listening to my iPod. Yeah I guess fashion doesn’t always make sense.

The iTie Holds Your iPod

Posted by: Jeff In: Clothing Gadgets| iPod Gadgets

i tie necktie The iTie Holds Your iPod
The iTie (warning! auto-playing Billy Mays video!) is a simple idea- a tie with a secret pocket in the back. Why do they need super-pitchman Billy Mays to sell it? Only the iTie people can answer that. You can stash your iPod, business card, cold hard cash, or jimmy hats in the super secret pocket. It also has a hook that snaps onto your shirt’s buttons so that it doesn’t flap around or move away from your body. Does all that justify charging $45-60 (err… 3 easy payments of $15-20) for a basic striped tie? Probably not. You could bring your existing ties to the tailor and they’d probably happily make the same thing for only a few bucks. But if Billy Mays says buy, I buy. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the beard.
