ipod SUPREME Rose edition iPod Supreme Rose Costs $95,000
Stuart Hughes has created yet another gold covered Apple product, this time it’s an iPod. This little beauty will set you back a mere $95,000. Dubbed the “SUPREME Rose”, this iPod features 263 grams of 18k rose gold, a platinum rear Apple logo with 53 diamonds and a platinum navigation button on the front with 4.5ct of diamonds surrounding it and a name that’s partly ALL CAPS. Only 10 will be made, so if you want them all maybe you should transfer $950,000 from savings to checking and pick up a few.

Laser Go-Go Dancer Cage iPod Dock

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

gogo dancer cage ipod dock 481x499 Laser Go Go Dancer Cage iPod Dock
This is easily the most outrageous (and largest!) iPod dock we’ve ever come across. The “Disco Table“, designed by Moritz Waldemeyer, is a go-go dancer cage, except the “cage” is virtual- made of LED lights and lasers and it has a smoke machine too. And oh yeah, it also has speakers and an iPod dock on the bottom. When it’s not being used as a makeshift club in your living room, it shuts down into a relatively normal looking Corian coffee table. No price listed, available “on demand for the discerning homebody”.

iPod Speaker with Grippy Surface Stand

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

grippy ipod speakers
Here’s a cheap ($10) iPod speaker from the Container Store- love that place. It’s just a simple red stand with a small speaker in the base. The stand itself has that “grippy” surface and is angled so you can put your iPod on and it stays put as long as you don’t move the stand around a bunch. I wouldn’t expect much from a speaker at this price point especially considering the fact that the speaker is aimed in the opposite direction of the iPod…WTF? It looks backwards.

Sparkz iPhone Dock and Projector

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

sparkz projector dock
Sparkz is billing itself as the world’s first iPhone and iPod dock projector. Maybe it is, maybe it’s not. But it’s definitely one of the most expensive iPhone docks you can buy at $495. Ouch! To be fair, it is compatible with other multimedia devices like video cameras, DVD players, computers and gaming systems. For that price you get 640 x 480 resolution with a 60-inch viewing area. The projector is based on a 3M projection engine and it comes with a tripod. Personally I’m buying like 4 of these just for the tripods. If you’re interested in a nearly 8 minute video about Sparkz you watch it here.

Stila Makeup Case with iPod Dock

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

stila makeup case ipod
Getting ready to go out and putting on your makeup is the ideal time to be listening to some music to get you in the mood to go do whatever exciting thing you’re about to do. So combining a makeup case with an iPod dock only seems natural. The Stila Beauty Kit combines a traveling makeup case with an iPod dock and speakers. It’s $70 and includes some makeup that I won’t even attempt to describe here- foundation, convertible color… I don’t know what any of this is. But it looks useful and even as a non-makeup person I can see that.

JVC’s New Tubealicious iPod Speaker Dock

JVC XS SR3 004 500x254 JVCs New Tubealicious iPod Speaker Dock
JVC Victor has just introduced another stylish iPod dock with speakers, the XS-SR3 Series. Available in either white or black, it features a 2.5Wx2 cradle speaker and a rotating dock so you can place you iPod in either horizontally or vertically depending upon what iPod model you have. I like the style of this one, it’s very tube-y without looking cheap. Speaking of cheap, no price is listed just yet.

kawaii ipod charger
This Kawaii bear might be the cutest iPod charger to ever grace this fine earth but the way he takes the cord is definitely illegal in some states. The bear sort of straddle mounts your outlet and then takes the cord from the rear. I hope he (or she!) is at least of the legal age of consent, for bears. Cute!

The Green Power Sliding iPod Speaker

Posted by: Jeff In: iPod Gadgets

green power sliding ipod speaker
Green Power has introduced the GP 400n, a unique sliding speaker for your iPod Touch or Nano. Unlike the iPhone, neither of these two MP3 player models has an included speaker, so a small external speaker is a must if you want to listen to music without headphones while still remaining mobile and portable.

There’s a pair of 1.5w powered speakers which run of a 600mAh built in rechargeable battery which is good for 12 hours. Your iPod connects via the dock connector and the GP 400n is powered via USB. So you’re not going to be enough sound to drown out the DJ at your local pub, this should be sufficient enough for a hotel room or other small area where you need some amplified music. No prices listed.
