See Through Tip Highlighters

Oh the trusty highlighter- so useful to make certain words stand out on the page, yet so hard to see exactly what words you are highlighting because the pen blocks it. Gizmodo found the above highlighter from Japan (by Mitsubishi of all companies) with a see-through tip so you can see what you’re doing. The secret is a thin ink channel in the middle of the clear part. But there’s another model that lets you see your highlighting too:

That’s the Uni-ball Propus Window Highlighter Pen, which unlike the first one is actually available to purchase in the US (and elsewhere). This marker uses a U-shaped tip that lets you see right through for precision highlighting. You can also turn the highlighter sideways for a narrow line. Both of these markers really pass the test, if you know what I mean.
