You probably see a measuring tape and think, “there’s nothing major that can be done to improve on this”. And that’s why you’re not Sunghoon Jung, who has designed additional features for his Hole Measuring Tape. The first innovation is the holes and pin. You extend the tape, press the pin down through the hole, insert your pencil in a hole at the tip, and now you can rotate the measuring tape to draw perfect circles and round objects.
But that’s not all. A slit in the length of the measuring tape allows you to draw perfectly straight lines quickly and easily. This conceptual design is up for an IF Design Talents award. We like this one, simple improvements to an everyday object.
