Check out what Geek Unique is doing with vintage reel to reel tapes. I suppose the “vintage” is probably not needed since reel to reels are not in production any more (are they? if so, why?). Anyway, he’s converting them into retro stylish iPhone docks.
Each dock is made from a vintage Telefunken 5 3/4″ Reel to Reel Tape rescued from an old sound lab. I like the scale of these, it looks like the iPod is lording over it’s conquered subjects upon a circular throne. $23.99 each.
