Pigs! Useful for more than just making bacon, they can also be the inspiration for many unusual gadgets. Here’s 15 pig inspired gadgets I’m sure you’ll go hog wild for and won’t boar bore you. Like the Pig Power Strip called Svintus above from Art Lebedev design. Conceptual at the moment but firmly in the “could happen” and “want it when it does happen” category. I wouldn’t try to plug things into all 17 outlets at once though, lest you fry that piggie.

Moving on to things you can actually purchase now, how about the Speakal iPig 2.1 Stereo iPod Docking Station. It boast five speakers and comes in three colors, like the strange yellow shade here. Not strange because it’s yellow, strange because it’s a yellow pig. I don’t know where you live, but where I’m from, pigs just aren’t yellow.

Maybe you want a more personal listening experience. Time to pop on the iPopperz Wiggly Pig Ear Buds and have those pigs pump sweet swine music into your ear.

You might as well accessorize your computer pig-style too with a Pig Computer Mouse. I’d say it’s resemblance to an actual pig is somewhat questionable, but that’s just me.

It’s the soft portable pig’s head with a handle that plugs into your iPod or phone to play music that you have been dreaming about your whole life. The 12×7 Head Phonz Plush Pig MP3 Adaptor and Speaker runs on batteries for extra sonic pig sound boost.

Little pig, little pig, let me have pancakes. Not by the hair of my chin….well actually on second thought pancakes do sound pretty good. Ok then. But let’s make them pig pancakes with the Norpro Nonstick Pig Pancake Pan. Perfect for your next Angry Birds party.

How will you know when your pig shaped pancakes are ready (or better yet, your slow cooked pulled pork)? With the Pig Little Cook Timer, of course. Twist the head and wait for the beep. Too bad it doesn’t oink.

The Wooden Zoo (Pig) Portable Speaker is handcrafted and made of wood and definitely one of the cutest little speakers ever.

If you’ve ever tried to slingshot a full sized pig, you know it’s very difficult. Catapulting one is not any easier. Firing them out of cannons isn’t too bad but it’s hard to get them loaded up, plus the cost of gunpowder these days is outrageous. You might want to stick to the plush Slingshot Pigs instead. Less cleanup.

They say elephants never forget and pigs… well there’s no real equivalent pig expression but the Pink Pig Original EMTEC Flash Drive won’t forget 4GB of your data.

The Flip Top Light up Watch – Pig is a time telling pig. That’s all.

Pig’s eyes are pretty similar to human eyes (dropping some science on you all right about now, boo ya) which means they can’t see all that well in the dark. Luckily this LED Pig Keychain Flashlight lights up when you push the button, helping you get in the door fast. He also oinks when you squeeze it which helps you…well there’s no real use for it so just consider it a bonus.

Use the power of the pig (and USB) to heat your heinie with Heated USB Animal Pillows. The plush pig flattens out to become a soft heated cushion for your rear, powered by USB, just like real pigs.

Is your desk a pigstuy? Well this Miniature Pig Tabletop Vacuum will feel right at home then. Runs on a pair of batteries and great for getting those crumbs from your pork sandwich off your desk after lunch. Don’t be a pig.

Our final pig inspired gadget is the Crane Adorable 1 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier, Pig Shape. This is a product that we actually use in the Craziest Gadgets homebase (but in a different animal style, it comes in many). It provides an adjustable level of fine mist into the room coming out of the pig’s head. Great for kids’ rooms. It’s whisper quiet and provides soothing relief while you sleep. We would recommend it anyone looking for a reliable inexpensive humidifier this winter. Plus, how cute is it?
