With less than 5 months till Christmas, what could be more appropriate to post today than a robotic Jesus? Not just any robot Jesus like the many that you probably pass every day of your life, this one walks on the water. Inventor Roger Cleye built this full sized Jesus out of a floating propeller powered platform and PVC pipes covered by clothing and mannequin hands and a head.
Jesus is pipes! Here’s a closeup on the floating mechanism:
Roger had to find just the right balance between floating and submersion to allow the support rig to stay underwater while Jesus stays above the waves to appear as if he’s walking. Video? Here ya go:
Dramatic music or not, that was a bit anti-climatic. Roger- give us a better video and something to show the scale of Jesus, please.
