DIY Alien Abduction Lamp

We covered an Alien Abduction Lamp back in the ’00′s (that “aughts” thing never really caught on, eh?) but not everyone wants to shell out $179 at Amazon for a lamp like this. So now we’ve found a DIY version that you can make at home using dollar store finds courtesy of Dollar Store Crafts.

It’s basically one of those push-on closet lights inside a pair of silver painted bowls on top of a glass with an animal dangling inside. Boom roasted!

While it doesn’t look as professional as the real Alien Abduction Lamp, for a homemade lamp costing a total of $5 worth of materials, it looks pretty gosh darn solid.
