We had a chance to review an Open It clamshell packing opener tool and this thing is quite handy. In a nutshell it cuts through those annoying blister packs with ease. It works better than a scissor thanks to a spring loaded handle and sharp short blade and includes some other opening tools in the handle like a mini-screwdriver and a blade. We recommend the Open It for anyone who is frustrated with packaging and wants a tool to open all types of packaging quickly and easily. Amazon has it for under $8 and it’s well worth it at that price.

That packaging is insane and it’s always things that don’t need that kind of protection either. Yet, when you buy light bulbs which are very breakable, they’re in thin cardboard…
