Oy Vey! It’s Dance Dance Revolution for Orthodox Jews

We’re just on the cusp of Hanukkah here and if you’re looking for something for your Orthodox Jewish friends (or self), there’s a game aimed at that demographic. Step It Up is just like Dance Dance Revolution except that it’s exclusively Jewish music. It’s a PC compatible (or arcade version) Jewish dance game that hooks up to most standard DDR mats and includes 60 songs, 13 levels of difficulty. The music is not the Hora and Fiddler on the Roof, it’s modern fast beat techno and rock style Jewish songs. The background images and music are much tamer and modest than the DDR game- no sexy dancers or lyrics here. Here you can watch a video of the gameplay and hear a mashup of some of the songs:

You can buy Step It Up at a very select group of retailers or from the Step It Up site for $50 for the software and $85 for the game and the dance pad.
