Here’s a smart concept- a camera strap that has a build in solar panel to keep your camera’s battery charged up. Designed by Weng Jie, this concept adds a bit of green technology to an otherwise mundane item- the strap. If you’re going to be walking around outside anyway, and it doesn’t add too much weight to the strap, then it makes perfect sense to be charging your camera up. Of course the catch-22 is that when you need your camera’s battery the most is at night when you use the flash, which is exactly when you can’t use the solar charger.

The solar panel won’t work at night obviously but at least (if this ever comes out) it will keep your camera nice and charged during the day and you will have a nicely charged camera for the whole night.
