I think books also make great gifts and one of my favorite new books is Speaking for Spot: Be the Advocate Your Dog Needs to Live a Happy, Healthy, Longer Life by Dr. Nancy Kay (www.speakingforspot.com) - talk about empowering owners to navigate the field of veterinary medicine - this book does it in spades.
