Most lamps try to show off their fancy shade or their unique shape or colored base. Not so much with the Coil Lamp from Craighton Berman. The Coil Lamp is all about the cord. The lamp itself is little more than an acrylic tree-shaped frame and a small adapter to plug the bulb in. Once you wrap your extension cord around the frame, the lamp’s shape reveals itself.

Berman lets you create the lamp yourself for $75 for the DIY version (bring your own cord!) or they charge $150 for the fully completed, just plug it in, hand signed by the artist version. You’ll need a LONG extension cord, since the Coil Lamp uses 100 feet or cord! Wow.
