Technically air guitars should be made of, you know, air, but we’ll give this one a pass because it looks like such a freakin’ cool idea. Designed by Julien Duquesnoy, iRock is basically a guitar shaped frame with a spot in the center to hold your iPod.

The neck of the guitar is actually a speaker, so it’s a complete self-contained rocking machine. The iRock is made of lightweight aluminum (I’m sure there’s a “heavy metal” line that should go here but I can’t think of it right now) and designed to fit the iPod Classic and iPod Touch (presumably the iPhone too). It’s definitely much more rockin’ than strumming on your tennis racket. Right now it’ purely conceptual but I could see something like this easily being produced.
