You never know how or when your storage needs are going to change. So having a highly adjustable shelf on your wall is ideal for variable storage. Designed by Mexican based ludens, this shelf is (obviously) modeled after a Swiss army knife with shelves that fold out to suit your various needs. It looks more like a conceptual design at this point (correct me if I’m wrong!) but I could see it being produced although I wonder how secure those thinner shelves are.

[...] Designed by students at Ludens, a Mexican design school, the shelf has about 4 layers, which reveal places to hang clothing, store coins, write notes or stash your keys. There are even fold out sections that reveal a mirror and cupholders. This is clearly still a concept, and while it seems neat, I could also see this thing getting chaotic if you tried to use it for too many things at once. [...] — Rafa M.
