LEGO Backgammon Combines a Toy and a Game

It’s interesting to take a toy that allows for such creativity and freeform expression like LEGO and make a game out it because games can be highly structured and rulesbound. Philosophical musings aside, someone has gone ahead and made an awesome backgammon set completely out of LEGOs (except the dice, natch).

The whole case folds up just like any other backgammon set. Backgammon is one my favorite games- I love the speed and decision making. It’s not like chess where you have to plan moves far in advance, the randomness of the die won’t allow for that. You make general strategy decisions and then alter them according to how the dice rolls each turn.
