Kid’s today have it so easy! Back in my day if you wanted to play spin the bottle, first you’d have drink all the nasty backwash out of the bottom of the bottle and then you’d have actually spin the bottle yourself. When the bottle stopped spinning, you’d have to come up with your own truth or dare question using your imagination. Now like everything else, spin the bottle is done electronically.

Electronic Spin the Bottle lights up and makes “cool” sound effects when you spin it. When it stops, the bottle cap puts out a beam of light so you know exactly who it’s pointing at. Then it give you one of 130 commands to do in one of 3 categories (truth/dare/kiss or forfeit). This game is recommended for ages 9-99. Seriously age 9? Kid’s are starting earlier these days. And don’t even get me started on recommending this for anyone over 18… you’re too old for spin the bottle you creep.

This is approaching dangerous territory- let me put it into formula form for you: Geeks + Beer = Danger Will Robinson. The Starship opens up a few beers and next thing you know it’s an all dude Trek trivia hot tub party contest. And nobody wants that. Again.

The Guitar Handbag rocks. I don’t know what ridiculous 80’s hairband world you’d have to live in to have this bag be considered fashionable, but apparently some people do live in that nightmare world. I mean, maybe if you were like a professional rock groupie or just crazy in the head, this would be attractive to you. This bag ain’t no Hermes Kelly bag, that’s for sure. At the end of a long day at work (loafing around on the internet) there’s probably nothing you want more than a nice foot massage or to just put your feet into some comfy slippers. The Camerautomata Charlie: Image Digesting Robotic Duck is an art project by Taeyoon Choi from South Korea. The duck is placed in various New York City tourist spots. The duck moves around by itself and when it senses the flash from a tourist’s camera, he takes his own picture. The photo is then printed from the duck’s hindquarters or uploaded to the web via WiFi.

The Image Digesting Robotic Duck was made by hacking a digital camera, printer, a Roomba vacuum cleaner, and mp3 player and connecting them by a single microcontroller. The artist refers to the printing process as the duck pooping out a picture.

Plates! We all use them. But what happens when you break a few from your set? Now you’ve got an odd number of mismatched plates and unless you’re a broke college student or a funky coffee house, you want a complete matched set.

The Dishlamp uses old plates to make a beautiful lamp. The plates are stacked in a visually appealing manner so that you only see the edges. This is the type of project you could do yourself with the proper drill bit and some lamp parts. But you probably won’t do it, so just enjoy the picture.

The Big Daddy Driver is the golf club with the built in weed whacker. It’s frustrating and hurtful to your golf game to get your ball out in the deep grass where you might have to take several swings just to get it back onto the fairway. Why let players who can actually hit their balls in a straight line get an advantage over you the slicing and hooking into the rough weekend warrior occasional golfer? Why should they have better scores simply because they’re better golfers?

When you hear about a shirt that has only binary numbers as it’s pattern, you’d probably think it would be an ugly shirt. Well so did I until I actually saw the shirt and it looks pretty good! This woman’s shirt from Rhombus is made up entirely of 1’s and 0’s (the pattern! the shirt itself is probably cotton or something). Not that I’m a fashion expert- I am wearing Zubaz right now.
