The Bulbdial clock idea from (of all places) comedian/blogger extraordinaire Ironic Sans is a great idea. It’s the world’s first indoor sundial and ironically it can’t be used outdoors or even in bright light. Each of the three lights rotates around the center at an appropriate speed, creating a shadow that represents the minute, second, and hour hands. Bright light will obviously render the Bulbdial useless. The clock is designed to be mounted either flat like a traditional sundial or on vertically a wall. Heck, if you’re feeling saucy, you could even mount it on a slanted wall.
